Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Tailored Learnings (“we”, “our”, or “the Service”) is committed to protecting the privacy of parents and children who use our platform. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information.
Information we collect
We collect the email address you provide when signing up for early access. If you create an account, we collect your email and the information you provide during onboarding (children’s first names and grade levels). When you use photo-based grading, we also collect the photo of the completed worksheet you upload so we can grade it. We do not collect children’s full names, birth dates, or other personally identifiable information beyond what is strictly necessary to personalise learning content and grade the work your child completes.
COPPA compliance
Tailored Learnings is designed for use by parents on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All account creation and data entry is performed by the parent. Children are never identified as distinct analytics subjects.
Analytics and cookies
With your consent, we use Mixpanel for product analytics. On this marketing site we record anonymous page views. Inside the product, we record a small set of parent activity events (for example, completing onboarding, creating a curriculum, or finishing a session) so we can understand how the product is used and where parents get stuck.
These product events are associated with an opaque account identifier for the signed-in parent — never with a name or email. Children are never identified to Mixpanel and are never tracked as analytics subjects. Events may include non-identifying details about the learning content itself (for example a curriculum’s subject and grade level), but never a child’s name, birth date, photo, answers, or other personal information, and are never linked to an individual child. We disable IP address collection, and session replay (screen recording) is never enabled in any environment.
You can decline analytics tracking via the cookie banner shown on your first visit, and your choice is stored in a browser cookie. Declining does not affect any product functionality.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share data with advertisers. We share data only with the service providers (sub-processors) necessary to operate the product, each under a data-processing agreement:
- Anthropic— the AI provider that powers content generation and worksheet grading. When you use photo-based grading, an image of your child’s completed worksheet is sent to Anthropic’s vision model to read and score the answers. These images are processed to return a grade and are not used to train Anthropic’s models. If you enable name-on-print, your child’s first name appears in the worksheet header; because grading sends a photo of the page, that name is part of the image processed for grading. You can turn name-on-print off in your preferences.
- Clerk— authentication and parent account management (stores the parent’s login credentials and email).
- Supabase — our database and file hosting (stores account data, curricula, and uploaded worksheet images).
- Sentry— error monitoring. We scrub personal information from error reports and never send a child’s personal data to Sentry.
- Mixpanel — product analytics, as described above. Only opaque, parent-scoped events are sent; children are never analytics subjects.
- Resend — early-access email delivery.
- Upstash— Redis used for rate limiting, feature flags, and short-lived upload-link security. It holds only opaque, parent-scoped identifiers and never a child’s personal data.
Data retention
Early-access email addresses are retained until you request deletion or the product launches and you have had the opportunity to create an account. Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@tailoredlearnings.ai.
